Having the opportunity to take English 102 with
Professor Candia was a privilege. Not to mention that it has increased my
writing abilities but also developed more skills after taking English 101.
Because 101 was just an introductory course and 102 is more mainstream, I've
learned to write in proper MLA format. By this, I am not saying that I didn't
learn that in 101 but with my 101 course, I learned APA instead. By all means,
I thank both my English 101 and 102 professors for taking their time and
consideration in instructing me.
Before this class, I have never learned how to blog
nor did I ever thought I would blog. But after this course, I realized that in
the world today, technologies will always improve; therefore, I must keep up
with the current social media as well as other technical software. To be
honest, I never thought I would say this, but I think I would keep this blog
active and post something once in a while.
After taking this class, I did realize that when
reading either poetry or short stories can be broken down into a vast amount of
perspectives. In a poem: one can break down each stanza and describe it, one
can break down each line and describe it, or one can actually break down to
each two to three words in a line describing its definition. I learned to
analyze every assign literature, whether it was poetry or short stories or
informational essays. By doing this, it had improved my writing and formatting
knowledge.
Nevertheless, English 102 was a great experience
and I would love to take this class again if I was an English major because in
another 102 course, I would be taught differently and it would most likely
improve more aspects in writing. Whether if its writing or reading literature,
I have gain so much know-how from just one semester of English 102. Again I
would like to thank my Professor, Ms. Candia.
