The
night before the big day, I went to bed earlier than usual; however, I was not
able to sleep until twelve or so. Feeling extremely anxious like how I always
am for something new. Bubbles began to form beneath the stars of my ceiling.
Questions without answers were shooting thru my head quicker than bullets.
Putting on low music with a couple or twist and turns, I finally fell asleep.
First day of college for most people is more stressful than anything else
because
they are not familiar with the campus nor do they know anyone, but for me it was totally different. Having to be a member of the Farmingdale First Program, I was able to explore and get familiar with the campus along with thirty-five other incoming freshmen. This gave me the opportunity to meet new friends before college starts.

Classes did not turn out as bad as I expected, in fact it felt like high school
all over except how the instructor was greeted differently with the word “professor”.
Each student gave a short briefing about themselves just like the way we
normally do in high school. It felt irreverent since we are adults and should
be doing this on our own time. However, this gave us the opportunity to know
who is majoring in what; therefore, meeting friends in the same study field
would be easier.
Finally, it is time to face a brand new chapter. As a college student, there
are various things to be concern about such as financial needs, transportation,
exams and many more. Although it takes approximately four years to obtain a
degree, by all means it has its precious value. Lastly, I would like to
conclude that my first day in college went amazingly well.
